Bournemouth Echo: Police offer security advice in bid to cut festive burglaries Police offer security advice in bid to cut festive burglaries

HOME owners can get advice today about keeping their home safe and secure this Christmas.

As part of the Countdown to Christmas campaign this weekend officers will be meeting residents, offering leaflets and giving out marker pens so residents can mark their belongings. There will be three all day meeting points which anyone can attend.

The first will be at the Albert Road junction, outside Beales in Bournemouth.

The second is on Wimborne Road, outside Waitrose in Winton and the third is on Christchurch Road, outside McDonalds in Boscombe.

Dorset Police will be using a range of tactics in a bid to reduce burglaries across Dorset over Christmas and New Year – under the banner of Operation Castle.

The force say burglary crime traditionally increases in Dorset during the festive period.

They should traditionally increase foot patrols then.
Instead of having 2 holding hands on patrol use 1 like they did in days of old.
The radio is there for assistance if needed.

Ohhh I forgot......most of the force are volunteer pen pushers so they need their hands holding.

The real cops are tax collectors chasing road users.

What a sad state of affairs to get in.

The Echo reports that there will be three all day meeting points..

The first will be at the Albert Road junction, outside Beales in Bournemouth... WHEN?

The second is on Wimborne Road, outside Waitrose in Winton.. WHEN?

..and the third is on Christchurch Road, outside McDonalds in Boscombe.. WHEN?

Hmmmm: might help to finish the report by including the 'when' information to those interested in attending.
