BOURNEMOUTH’S litterbugs will be targeted in an unusual experiment this weekend.
Horseshoe Common, centre of the night-time economy, will only be cleared of litter and bins emptied on one side from this morning on Sunday.
The other side will be deliberately left untouched in an attempt to show how much litter is thrown away during a single weekend.
The experiment will take place in support of the Keep Britain Tidy Group’s anti-litter campaign, Which Side of the Fence Are You On?, with passers-by being asked which side of the waste divide would they like to be on.
The affected area at Horseshoe Common will be thoroughly cleaned on Monday.
