UPDATE: Herbert Avenue re-opened after four-vehicle crash
EMERGENCY services were at the scene of a four-vehicle crash in Poole this morning.
Firefighters removed the roof from one of the vehicles to free a person complaining of neck pain.
The accident happened at 10.30am in Herbert Avenue and the road was closed in both directions until around 1pm.
Two of the drivers were taken to hospital - one suffering from a neck injury, the other a chest and shoulder injury - and two were treated at the scene.
None of the injuries are understood to be serious.
The vehicles involved were a pink Toyota Starlet registered to a Poole man, a blue Peugeot 307 registered to a Poole man, a white Ford Transit van registered to a Bournemouth man and a silver Vauxhall Agila Club registered to a Broadstone man.
A Dorset Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “We were called to a four-car road traffic collision at 10.56am with a report of one male who was medically trapped.
