5:00pm Tuesday 15th October 2013 in News
Professor John Vinney cut a ceremonial ribbon to mark the launch of the new £350,000 facilities last week.
He said: “It’s great that we have a long history of working together with a joint focus on excellence. It is to be applauded that the hospital board prioritises investment in education and training.”
Improvements include a purpose built clinical skills suite, three new interactive classroom touch-screens, a remodelled lecture theatre and features such as lifelike training manikins and other simulation equipmen.
The Learning Resource Centre and Library has also been relocated to bigger premises and now offers iPads with full access to educational journals.
