A DRY cleaners, where fire broke out last weekend, is to open a temporary branch on Monday.
Fire broke out at Barker Dry Cleaning and Laundrette, in Church Road, Lower Parkstone, after hot washing combusted.
The business is to open in temporary premises behind the current shop unit at 8.30am on Monday, offering all services except the laundrette.
Barker Group director Gavin Le Maistre said: “Other than the laundrette facility, everything will continue to trade as normal in a slightly smaller store. Our team have worked exceptionally hard to put something together to continue normal trading hours.
“The fire was a complete accident and we’re working to put things back together as quickly as we possibly can.”
He thanked the fire service for their quick response and the person who raised the alarm last Saturday night.
He expected to have the branch fully re-opened in four to six weeks.
Mr Le Maistre said very little customer property was beyond salvage after the fire. “The majority of our customers are long-standing. They’ve been very understanding, for which we’re incredibly thankful,” he added.
