Poole Town has plans for new stand unanimously approved
The football club had applied for a new north stand and club room with security fencing and gates, to relocate the tea hut and beer store, new turnstiles and toilet block. Councillors approved a temporary consent for three years.
These facilities would help satisfy the FA’s criteria to enable the club to potentially progress into the Conference South League, which is their target. They currently play in the Southern Premier League.
Other improvements would be needed to accommodate attendance of up to 4,000 people and planning officers had raised concerns about the ability of the site to accommodate this and its impact on the road system and the amenities of local residents.
