MANY of us from Jersey travel via Poole to the UK and often stay in a hotel there before departure or after arrival.
Most of us use Poole as a transit point and are not 'tourists'.
However it would appear that £2 will be added on to our hotel night despite not using the tourist facilities which, no doubt, Poole provides.
It might seem a trivial amount after paying for a ticket on Condor ferries but there are many hotels just outside Poole which will surely be advertising "zero tourist tax" rooms.
