An online event for children with special educational needs as been announced.

Dorset Council's 'Let's Talk SEND' online sessions give people in Dorset with children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) a chance to meet virtually and ask questions of the council about its provisions.

The local authority was inspected by Oftsted and the CQC in March over a period of three weeks and received a positive review of its SEND services.

The next opportunity for parents and carers to put their queries to the council will be at 12pm on Tuesday, June 4.

A spokesperson for Dorset Council said: "Our next online "Let's Talk SEND" session is scheduled for midday on 4 June. This session will be themed around 'school attendance'.

"This session is aimed at anyone with children who’s concerned about getting them to school.

"Our ‘Let’s Talk SEND’ online events give people in Dorset with children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) a chance to come together and hear from the SEND team at Dorset Council. The sessions always include plenty of time for questions and answers."
