A CAFÉ centred around freshly roasted Malawian coffee is opening in Westbourne.

The Maravi and Wellness brand will open its new branch in Poole Road "very soon".

Maravi was first launched in Malawi in south east Africa, but has since been introduced to the BCP area.

It has become known for its specialty coffee, homemade cakes and snacks and chic atmosphere.

Its newest store opened at 19 Saxon Square in Christchurch only last month.

Maravi also has branches in Bournemouth town centre and Poole.

Adam Gaffar, director at Maravi and Wellness, spoke to the Daily Echo following the opening of the Bournemouth branch last spring.

Explaining the principles behind his brand, Adam said: "We have three components of the business - atmosphere, product, and service. They are very important to us, and not one is above the other.

“The people of Malawi have similar principles to what we want. They are spiritual people, and they operate from the heart. It fits well with us.”

An official opening date has not yet been confirmed, but Adam of Maravi said it would be "very soon".
