A VILLAGE Post Office will temporarily close next month while a refit takes place for more than a month.
Lytchett Matravers’ Post office in Purbeck Parade will have extensive work done on it from the end of the day on Wednesday, June 12.
The work will take about five weeks to complete, according to the Post Office, after which the service will reopen on Friday, July 26, at 9am.
Daniel Rooney, Post Office multiple account executive, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.
“The safety of our customers is of paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it is necessary for the service to close temporarily.”
Alternative branches include in Poole Road, Upton, and Wareham Road, Corfe Mullen.
