A CAR boot sale will not go ahead this weekend.

Organisers of the popular Poole Stadium Car Boot Sale have said the sale planned on Sunday, May 19 has been cancelled.

This is because the RNLI Lifeboat Festival will be happening in Poole all weekend, which is expected to see thousands of visitors.

A spokesperson for the care boot sale said: “We will be back open next Sunday 26 and Monday 27 May, 2024.

“Sorry for any inconvenience caused.”

Poole Lifeboat Festival will take place in West Quay Road, facilitated by a road closure, at the support centre and will include behind the scenes tours, capsize demonstrations in the sea survival centre, launch and recovery demonstrations and interactive workshops.

There will also be live music on a centre stage and refreshment stalls during the two-day weekend festival on May 18 and 19.

The festival will close at 4pm Sunday with a parade of sail including many historic RNLI lifeboats, the current RNLI fleet, and visiting lifeboats from other countries.
