BUS shelters in Christchurch town centre are set to be ‘enhanced’ under a new scheme.
The Christchurch Bus Enhancement scheme will involve replacing the existing bus shelters along Bargates and High Street.
The new shelters will be larger and offer more seating, according to Christchurch Town Council.
They will also be positioned to face outward toward the road, in the opposite direction to the existing shelters.
As well as replacing the shelters in Bargates and High Street, the scheme will also see the bus shelter in front of Christchurch Library removed.
The town council say this will “enhance the access” to the library.
The Christchurch Bus Enhancement scheme is funded by central government.
