Bournemouth Echo: Canford Heath Junior School

After a weekend to recover, Canford Heath Junior School received a call that inspectors would be visiting on October 17 and 18.

The school maintained its ‘good’ rating with the education watchdog commenting that pupils enjoy attending school and feel safe.

Bournemouth Echo: Ad Astra Infant School

Ad Astra Infant School were the final location to receive its visit with an ungraded inspection in December 2023.

However, inspectors noted: "The evidence gathered suggests that the inspection grade might be outstanding if a graded (Section 5) inspection were carried out now.

“The school's next inspection will be a graded inspection."

Kate Carter, CEO of the TEACH Trust, said: “I am so, so proud of all four of my schools, and know that the children, families, staff and leadership of the schools and the Trust are all instrumental in achieving this success.

“The resilience, drive and focus shown, particularly to get through three inspections in a nine-week window, was truly remarkable.

“And to have all the schools achieve good or outstanding (with a second possible outstanding on its way within 18 months) is truly an achievement of which we are all so proud - especially in light of all the other pressure on our schools.

“This is wonderful news for our local community - that whichever school they choose - they will be a great school!”
